About the role

Globant is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Azure or AWS to help our clients modernize their digital platforms. You will work with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and operate reliable, scalable cloud solutions that meet high‑availability standards.

Key responsibilities

Define and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for critical services.
Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem processes.
Implement observability using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, New Relic, Datadog, and the ELK stack.
Design and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform (preferred) and CloudFormation.
Build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, and Azure DevOps.
Deploy and maintain containerized workloads on Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift) and Docker.
Configure and optimize HTTP services such as Apache, NGINX, Varnish, ALB, and CDNs like AWS CloudFront.
Ensure cloud security best practices and robust networking configurations.

Required profile

Fluent English (B2 – Upper Intermediate) or higher.
Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering or senior DevOps roles.
Strong commitment to operational excellence and reliability at scale.

Required skills

Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
Containers & orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift), Docker.
IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation.
CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Azure DevOps.
Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, New Relic, Datadog, ELK stack.
HTTP servers & services: Apache, NGINX, Varnish, ALB, CDN (AWS CloudFront).
Programming/Scripting: Python, Go, JavaScript, Bash.
Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis/Valkey, Cassandra, Memcached.
Networking concepts and cloud security best practices.
