Senior Full-Stack Engineer (TypeScript, React & Python)

About the role

Medallo.dev is hiring three senior full-stack engineers in Medellín to build software for its clients. The work spans React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python on the backend, with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor used every day. The position is full-time and hybrid: one day a week in a coworking space in Medellín, the rest remote.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack features with React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python services and APIs on the backend
• Design data models, APIs and integrations that hold up in production
• Use Claude Code, Cursor or similar AI tools as a core part of planning, writing, reviewing and testing code
• Own features end to end: break them down, ship in small increments and verify they work in production
• Review code and keep the codebase readable, typed and tested
• Communicate progress and trade-offs clearly with teammates and clients
• Join the team in person one day a week at the Medellín coworking space

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Based in Medellín and able to work from a coworking space one day a week
• Nice to have: English at CEFR B2 or higher, spoken and written; prior experience with English-speaking clients; experience with Microsoft Azure

Required skills

• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript, with production experience in React
• Production experience with Python on the backend (APIs, services or data pipelines)
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code or Cursor
• Solid full-stack fundamentals: API design, relational databases, authentication and deployment

What we offer

• Compensation of up to COP 12,000,000 per month depending on fit and experience
• 15 days of paid vacation per year
