Senior Fullstack Java Engineer (Remote – Colombia or Costa Rica)

About the role

Gorilla Logic is seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications and data integration solutions. The role is remote and open to candidates located in Colombia or Costa Rica.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern front‑end frameworks.
• Maintain and modernize legacy Java MVC applications while building new user interfaces with Bootstrap 5, Vue.js, Angular, or React.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services, including messaging with RabbitMQ.
• Configure and maintain Apache Airflow environments, creating DAGs and data‑processing workflows.
• Design and implement ETL workflows and data integrations across PostgreSQL and other relational databases.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including full‑stack Java development.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java 9/11/17, Spring Boot (v3.5 or 4.x), and Apache Airflow.
• Experience with legacy Java MVC applications and modern front‑end frameworks (Bootstrap 5, Vue.js, Angular, React).
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL, and relational database design.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, RabbitMQ, and ETL processes.
