Senior Hands‑on Software Architect

About the role

Blanc Labs is looking for a senior, hands‑on Software Architect to lead the design and evolution of modern cloud‑native applications while staying actively involved in coding. You will modernize legacy monoliths into distributed micro‑services and ensure technical solutions align with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable software architectures for enterprise applications.
• Modernize legacy monolithic systems into cloud‑native micro‑services using Strangler Fig, CDC, and event‑driven patterns.
• Develop production‑ready code with Java (Spring Boot), Laravel (PHP), and React.
• Create RESTful APIs and asynchronous integrations using Kafka and Amazon SQS.
• Define service boundaries, data ownership, and communication strategies across distributed systems.
• Architect and implement AWS cloud solutions with focus on scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency.
• Participate in coding, design reviews, and technical implementation.
• Perform code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term improvements.
• Collaborate with DevOps on deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise software solutions.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Professional experience with Laravel (PHP) and React.
• Deep understanding of object‑oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.
• Extensive experience designing distributed, cloud‑native systems.
