Senior Information Technology System Engineer

About the role

nDuo is expanding its engineering team in Colombia and seeks a senior professional to own end‑to‑end technical problems for regulated fintech and global tech clients. You will work remotely from anywhere in Colombia, collaborating with colleagues in London and South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and harden secure macOS and Windows endpoint estates, including MDM architecture, compliance baselines and device lifecycle management.
• Own identity and access management – SSO, conditional access, MFA, provisioning/de‑provisioning and least‑privilege design.
• Implement endpoint protection, vulnerability management, logging, alerting and incident response.
• Support clients in meeting Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, SOC 2 and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Automate repetitive tasks with scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Lead projects from scoping through delivery and communicate technical details to both engineers and business leaders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years in a senior IT or security engineering role.
• Self‑managed, proactive problem‑solver who takes ownership of complex issues.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients at technical and executive levels.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Legally able to work in Colombia.

Required skills

• Advanced macOS and Windows administration in business environments.
• Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Cloud identity providers: Okta, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD.
• MDM platforms: Jamf Pro, Intune, Kandji, Mosyle, FleetDM.
• Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Networking: routing, firewalls, VPN, Wi‑Fi (Meraki preferred).
• Endpoint security, hardening, patching, access control.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible; CI/CD pipelines.
• EDR/XDR tools: Jamf Protect, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender.
• SIEM, logging, alerting, incident response.
