Senior Java Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Coforge is hiring a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer for a remote position in Colombia. The role combines hands-on full-stack development with technical leadership, mentoring and architectural guidance across services and teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements, refine user stories, define development standards and guide architectural decisions across services and teams.
• Develop and enhance full-stack solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, GraphQL, RabbitMQ, SQL databases and related technologies, ensuring code quality and performance.
• Improve microservices observability, reliability, security and vulnerability management through monitoring, logging, tracing and troubleshooting.
• Mentor developers, run code reviews, coordinate technical initiatives and continuously improve CI/CD, testing, documentation and engineering standards.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Maven, Hibernate, Liquibase and Jakarta EE.
• Microservices development experience with GraphQL and RabbitMQ.
• Frontend experience with Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS and SCSS.
• Database experience with MS SQL Server and MySQL.
• Hands-on testing and API tool experience (JUnit, TestContainers, Mockito, MockServer, Jasmine, Postman, SOAP UI).
• Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, EKS, Jenkins and Azure DevOps experience.
• Observability tools such as DataDog, Grafana, Grafana Loki and Prometheus.
• Knowledge of security and middleware technologies including Cognito and JBoss.
• Technical leadership, code review, mentoring and strong Agile, CI/CD and software architecture understanding.

Preferred: Microsoft Copilot and AI-assisted development, custom skills and AI agents, experience improving workflows across teams, and strong cross-team coordination and documentation skills.
