Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP/Azure)

About the role

Dev.Pro, a US-based outsourced software development company, is hiring contractors for a Senior DevOps Engineer position. The role supports a client, a major payment processing solution provider serving over 275,000 U.S. businesses, by building and maintaining reliable cloud infrastructure. The engineer uses GCP and Azure expertise to drive DevOps processes, modernize legacy systems and ensure the security, observability and availability of the cloud platform. The company is remote-first.

Key responsibilities

• Design, automate and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools
• Support migration of on-premises systems to the cloud and modernize legacy systems
• Build, maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable releases
• Implement and maintain monitoring and observability with Datadog and other tools
• Manage access, identities and permissions across cloud and DevOps environments
• Maintain platform reliability and security, including SSL and deployment management
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and client stakeholders to turn requirements into actionable tasks
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, respond to incidents and take part in on-call rotations
• Promote DevOps best practices, improve processes and share knowledge

Required profile

• 10+ years of DevOps experience, including 5+ years with GCP and Azure
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, networking, automation and CI/CD, focused on GCP
• Proven troubleshooting skills in high-load, mission-critical environments
• Ability to translate business needs into technical tasks and plans
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including with US-based teams and client stakeholders
• Ownership, commitment to quality, clear documentation and proactive improvement of DevOps tools and standards
• Upper-intermediate English; desirable: experience mentoring or leading DevOps engineers
