Intermediate Test Engineer (Manual/Automation) - Payments Platform

About the role

Dev.Pro, a US-based outsourced software development company, is hiring contractors for its global team of IT professionals. It is looking for an intermediate test engineer with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing to work on a modern, evolving payments platform for a major global fintech client. The role covers UI and backend/integration testing, validation of new features and independent defect identification.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manual test scenarios for new features, mainly across the UI
• Perform API and backend/integration testing as needed
• Build and maintain automated tests using C#/.NET
• Perform end-to-end testing as requirements and features evolve
• Analyze product functionality and user flows to identify issues and bugs
• Review errors, failures and system logs in Datadog
• Verify functionality independently with minimal documentation
• Work with product, engineering, business and client teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Take part in bi-weekly release activities and support late-night releases

Required profile

• 3-5 years of hands-on QA experience with a strong background in manual and automated testing
• Ability to work with limited or incomplete documentation and to adapt to changing requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; proactive and autonomous approach
• Upper-intermediate English

Required skills

• Test automation with C#/.NET
• UI testing with Playwright or similar tools
• API testing with Postman or similar tools
• Backend and integration testing
• Desirable: Datadog, GCP, Harness, Jira, Confluence, GitHub Copilot
