Senior Lawyer – Legal (Bogotá)

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a Senior Lawyer to join its legal team in Bogotá. The role supports the company’s global energy operations by providing sound legal advice and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the business on simple to moderately complex legal matters related to commercial activities.
• Research statutes, regulations, and judicial decisions and apply findings to company operations.
• Interact with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve legal issues.
• Manage external counsel in coordination with the supervising attorney.
• Support internal audits, collective bargaining, and union‑relations matters.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience advising companies on legal matters.
• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas sector is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of ethical codes and local regulations.
