Senior Procurement Analyst – GBS FSSC

About the role

SGS is seeking a Senior Procurement Analyst for its Global Business Services (GBS) Finance Shared Services Center (FSSC). The role supports the Americas shared services hub by managing purchase requisitions, supplier communication, order tracking and invoice verification to ensure efficient procurement operations.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with the SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct at all times.
• Verify material and service requirements, create purchase requests using optimal pricing and suppliers, and clarify unclear items.
• Source products to achieve the best combination of quality, price, and delivery.
• Follow up on purchase orders, confirm expected delivery times and pricing, and obtain supplier recommendations for substitutes.
• Schedule deliveries, monitor order status, and expedite when necessary.
• Validate receipt of goods by comparing them with purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers or carriers.
• Verify invoices and payments with suppliers and cross‑functional teams, and generate purchase orders based on supplier invoices.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize procurement data and trends.
• Maintain accurate procurement information in SharePoint for management review.
• Participate in training, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and promote a safe, clean work environment.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent.
• B2+ level of English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 3 to 5 years of purchasing experience.
• 2+ years of accounts payable experience preferred.
