Senior QA Engineer

About the role

A Senior QA Engineer is sought to lead the assurance of product quality across 3-tier applications. The role covers all QA processes, from writing and maintaining test plans and test cases to automating tests, defect analysis and release sign-off, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, maintain and own test plans, scenarios and test cases, and provide sign-off for every release
• Automate smoke and regression tests, perform code reviews and validate production defects using AI tools (Playwright preferred)
• Monitor QA and defect metrics regularly, analyse defects by root cause and report quality metrics to QA leadership
• Ensure features are complete and tested according to the definition of done, and take responsibility for the overall quality of the application
• Estimate tasks, evaluate impediments and guide the team so sprints succeed
• Respond to support requests from clients, Product and Customer Success teams
• Collaborate with Product Management and Software Engineering to build and validate manual and automated test scripts, and give risk analysis to the Scrum team for new or updated features
• Take part in release management and review test plans and execution for each sprint

Required profile

• Extensive experience in 3-tier applications and bug tracking tools
• Expertise in QA automation and familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, including basic and advanced prompt engineering and agent creation
• Domain knowledge of business requirements and awareness of the project's contribution to overall success
