Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join an event technology and production company that operates across the United States, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. You will work on a complex Rails platform that supports in‑person, hybrid, and virtual events.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve business logic, models, migrations and APIs (REST/GraphQL) in an existing Rails application.
• Implement event producers and consumers with Apache Kafka for asynchronous flows between services.
• Design scalable APIs for the mobile app ecosystem and deploy on AWS infrastructure.
• Build resilient integration layers with Salesforce and Sage ERP.
• Write unit and integration tests using RSpec and deliver feature increments in Agile sprints.
• Estimate story points, design technical tasks and safeguard system performance and API stability.
• Collaborate with Product, QA and the client’s internal team in an integrated working model.

Required profile

• Solid, recent Ruby on Rails experience at a senior level.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Kafka or event‑driven architectures.
• Experience with enterprise applications or products, evolving existing applications.
• Fluent English, able to work directly with US‑based teams.
• Testing with RSpec and Agile methodologies.
