Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

A company that builds adaptive learning platforms using AI to help students learn worldwide is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. You will build and support reliable infrastructure for teams across the company, helping operate the AWS EKS and Databricks platforms, improving their security and observability, and partnering with application and data teams to resolve production issues.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and support the AWS EKS and Databricks platforms
• Improve security and observability of the platforms
• Partner with application and data teams to resolve production issues and make services easier to run
• Investigate incidents and turn recurring support work into automation and runbooks

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience preferred
• SRE or platform engineering background preferred
• Experience as a software engineer, developer in test, SRE or DevOps engineer with enterprise application experience is a plus
• Experience building and managing highly scaled production infrastructure in the cloud

Required skills

• Strong expertise in AWS EKS and Terraform; Kubernetes cluster build, maintenance and upgrades
• Hands-on experience operating or supporting AWS EKS in production
• Experience supporting Databricks workloads or a strong foundation in data platforms
• CI/CD, cloud database operations (RDS MySQL/Postgres/Aurora) and container orchestration (EKS, ECS)
• Terraform, New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, PagerDuty, JIRA, Confluence
• Nice to have: conversational JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Golang, Bash, YAML, JSON, HCL; BS in Computer Science preferred
