Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer you will join Fountain’s engineering squad to build and enhance web‑based tools that help organisations manage their frontline workforce. You’ll work on a high‑traffic, enterprise‑grade platform used by millions of workers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain new product features and enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to translate requirements into user‑centered solutions.
• Review code, mentor peers and ensure high code quality across the team.
• Implement RESTful API endpoints and extend the Ruby on Rails backend and PostgreSQL data models.
• Maintain reliability, security and performance of the platform, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing for scalability.
• Stay current with industry trends and continuously improve the user experience.

Required profile

• 7+ years of full‑stack software engineering experience.
• Proven track record delivering product‑oriented features in enterprise environments.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and comfort working autonomously on legacy codebases.
• Experience collaborating in globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
