Senior UI Engineer

About the role

Huge is seeking a Senior UI Engineer to join its Technology practice in Colombia. The role focuses on building high‑performance web experiences for global clients while collaborating closely with design, strategy, and QA teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable, interactive web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Architect frontend experiences on headless CMS platforms such as Contentstack, creating flexible content models and reusable components.
• Leverage agentic AI workflows to accelerate component generation, refactoring, and delivery.
• Translate Figma designs into pixel‑perfect, responsive code with smooth animations that meet performance targets.
• Ensure front‑end quality by shipping accessible, standards‑compliant, cross‑device experiences.
• Partner with UX, visual design, QA, and strategy teams to evaluate feasibility and refine requirements.
• Drive engineering rigor through spec‑driven development, documentation, and code reviews in an agile environment.
• Mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and support post‑launch enhancements for global client teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building large‑scale web products in agile, cross‑disciplinary teams.
• Deep expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, modern CSS, and preprocessors.
• Proven use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) with a clear understanding of their value.
• Experience delivering WCAG‑conformant interfaces and improving Core Web Vitals using tools like Lighthouse.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and advanced English proficiency (C1+).
