SOC 2 Staff IT Auditor (Remote, LATAM)

About the role

Insight Assurance is seeking a junior IT/GRC Auditor to join its fast‑growing audit team. This fully remote position is open to candidates located in Latin America and offers the chance to work on SOC 2, SOC 1 and HIPAA engagements while developing expertise in broader IT compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform IT general controls (ITGC) and application control testing across SOC 2, SOC 1 and HIPAA projects.
• Assist in evaluating the design and effectiveness of controls such as access, change, and system operations.
• Communicate with clients to request evidence, conduct walkthroughs, and clarify audit questions.
• Document findings and help prepare client deliverables.
• Provide weekly status updates and flag potential issues to senior team members.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in IT auditing, focusing on ITGC and application controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MIS, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a remote team.

Required skills

• ITGC and application control testing.
• Knowledge of SOC 2, SOC 1 and HIPAA frameworks.
• Access management, change management, system operations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Experience with GRC automation tools such as Vanta, Drata or Secureframe.
