Software Engineer (Full Stack / Backend)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to build full‑stack and backend services for Gala Health’s telehealth platform. You will work on high‑impact features that serve thousands of patients and collaborate with product, design, and operations teams in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship backend services and customer‑facing web applications.
• Create scalable APIs and systems that power the healthcare platform.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
• Improve performance, reliability, and developer experience across the platform.
• Review code, contribute to technical decisions, and help establish engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, operations, and leadership to turn ideas into production features.

Required profile

• Strong computer‑science fundamentals and solid software‑engineering principles.
• Experience building production web applications and backend systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across engineering, product, and business teams.
• Self‑starter attitude with ownership and problem‑solving capability.
