Software Engineer, Payments

About the role

Bet365 is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Payments team. You will help design, build and maintain the core payments platform that supports millions of transactions daily, working with a full‑stack team that is re‑architecting services using Golang, React and cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and support critical payments systems, including integrations with multiple payment providers.
• Build and maintain balance and transaction management services and core operational tooling.
• Participate in a ground‑up re‑architecture effort using Golang, Typescript, cloud platforms and Kafka.
• Create low‑latency, highly available and scalable solutions for high‑volume transaction processing.
• Support and improve existing code bases, identify technical debt and propose improvements.
• Contribute to solution proposals and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.

Required profile

• Commercial experience in web client or server‑side development.
• Hands‑on experience with both front‑end and back‑end technologies.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in fast‑changing, high‑transaction environments.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
