Sr. Accountant

About the role

Worldpanel by Numerator is seeking a LATAM Senior Accountant to join its international finance team. Reporting to the LATAM Regional Controller, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, support the month‑end close and help strengthen accounting policies across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records for fixed assets, accruals, pre‑payments, intercompany transactions and other areas under local GAAP.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, guaranteeing a clear audit trail for all balances.
• Collaborate with offshore analysts to produce routine and ad‑hoc financial analysis and reports.
• Investigate intercompany balances, develop matching processes and analyse variances to prior periods and forecasts.
• Assist with the month‑end close, compile the monthly reporting package and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Lead and manage a remote accounting team, driving performance and development.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting and membership of a professional accounting body or equivalent qualification.
• Fluency in English; Spanish and Portuguese are a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of combined public‑accounting and private‑industry experience, primarily in revenue accounting.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and its differences with US GAAP.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NetSuite and Oracle reconciliation tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, VLOOKUP) and solid PowerPoint skills.
