Sr. Systems Cloud Engineer

About the role

The Senior Systems Cloud Engineer administers and supports client operating system environments, ensuring high availability and performance. The role focuses on solution design, automation, and resolution of escalated service issues while maintaining efficient operations management.

Key responsibilities

• Design and define operating runbooks and coach junior engineers for issue resolution.
• Provide L2 troubleshooting and escalated support for datacenter operations, WAN/LAN connectivity, and security.
• Manage ticket queues, prioritize incidents, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Assist with client migrations, complex projects, and deployment of cloud and on‑premises data‑center solutions.
• Deliver recommendations to improve operating environments and support sales in solution opportunities.
• Produce monthly analytics reports on team performance and capacity, and oversee compliance with Auxis processes.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in system administration, cloud environments, and virtualization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent work experience.
• Participation in a 24x7 on‑call support rotation.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices.

Required skills

• Microsoft server operating systems and MS Entra ID.
• Linux distributions (Red Hat, Amazon Linux, CentOS).
• Virtualization and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).
• Azure Administrator and AWS SysOps certifications (or equivalent).
• Scripting languages: PowerShell, VBScript, BAT, Shell, Python.
• Monitoring and backup technologies.
• Network protocols: DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP.
• Windows Server 2012+ and Active Directory.
• ITIL 4 Foundations.
