Staff Accountant

About the role

ABA Tech is expanding its finance team in Medellín and seeks a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant. The role is hybrid and full‑time, focusing on reconciliations, accounts payable, and month‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank, accounts payable, prepaid, and fixed‑asset reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and support the month‑end close process.
• Analyze and resolve unmatched transactions.
• Reconcile AP aging, identify discrepancies and follow‑up.
• Work with NetSuite and Coupa to ensure accurate financial data.
• Track and manage accruals and prepaid expenses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in general ledger, accounts payable or reconciliations.
• Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher).
• Knowledge of GAAP and month‑end close procedures.

Required skills

• NetSuite (required).
• Coupa (preferred).
• Advanced Excel for data analysis.
