Student Retention Specialist

About the role

TripleTen is an EdTech company that runs tech career learning programs for the US and Latin American markets, with a fully remote, globally distributed team. It is looking for a Student Retention Specialist to support students in their learning journey and help them stay committed to their goals. The role drives student engagement, retention and satisfaction by building meaningful relationships, spotting early risks and offering proactive support.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with students through retention-focused calls and chats, handling refund and cancellation requests with empathy and professionalism.
• Identify the root causes of student dissatisfaction and offer personalized solutions to improve their experience and commitment.
• Manage renewal and recurring payment conversations, reaching out before each term ends to support extensions and continued enrollment.
• Meet or exceed weekly retention (save rate) and renewal performance goals.
• Maintain accurate records of all student interactions in CRM systems.
• Take part in call reviews, coaching sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 1+ year of experience in Retention, Customer Success, Sales or another customer-facing role.
• Fluent written and spoken English, supporting English-speaking students.
• Strong empathy, active listening and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable in a target-driven environment and resilient during difficult conversations.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM platforms to manage customer interactions and keep accurate records.

What we offer

• Fixed compensation of 1,500 USD per month plus a performance-based bonus.
• Monday to Friday schedule, approximately 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM CET (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Colombia time).
• Fully remote work with clear expectations, fast feedback and autonomy.
• Use of tools such as Notion, Miro and Google Workspace.
