Systems Engineer

About the role

The Systems Engineer will ensure the reliability and performance of cloud‑based platforms that power financial innovation. Working remotely, you will support and enhance Azure infrastructure, optimise databases, and implement security‑by‑design improvements for our fintech clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support existing software applications and Azure services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application and database incidents.
• Manage Azure resources including App Services, Virtual Machines, Storage and Networking.
• Optimise database performance, integrity and security across SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Apply system updates, security patches and performance tuning.
• Document changes, procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software maintenance or application support.
• Strong background with Microsoft Azure and a security‑by‑design mindset.
• Proficiency in relational databases and performance tuning.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
