Team Leader, Business Assurance – Finance (Billing, AP & Collections)

About the role

The Team Leader, Business Assurance – Finance will lead a group of finance professionals responsible for Billing, Accounts Payable and Collections within the GBS Americas hub. Reporting to the Business Assurance Manager, the role ensures high‑quality financial operations, compliance with internal controls and accurate financial reporting across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Build, coach and manage a team of approximately 12 finance specialists, setting clear objectives and conducting performance reviews.
• Ensure reliable execution of billing, AP and collections processes in line with internal control standards and service‑level agreements.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators, driving operational excellence and risk mitigation.
• Partner with stakeholders across GBS Americas to implement process improvements and maintain financial governance.
• Promote a culture of trust, accountability and psychological safety, addressing workload balance and team morale.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance or accounting teams, preferably in a shared services or global business services environment.
• Strong understanding of billing, accounts payable and collections operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage performance, develop talent and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
