Technical Consultant - SIEM Engineer

About the role

IBM Consulting is seeking a Technical Consultant for Threat Detection Content & Administration to manage and maintain security technology infrastructure, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, AV, and cloud security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and operate SIEM/XDR platforms, including Google SecOps.
• Configure and manage log source integrations, dashboards, reports, correlation rules, policies, users, and roles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform‑related issues to ensure stability and optimal performance.
• Design and implement new correlation rules aligned with client security risks.
• Analyze malicious behaviors and support threat detection and investigation activities.
• Provide security recommendations to improve detection capabilities and overall platform performance.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients.
• Ability to translate security findings into actionable recommendations.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience operating SIEM/XDR platforms.
• Knowledge of Google SecOps.
• Solid understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
