Technical Project Manager – Banking Technology

About the role
ScotiaTech, the technology hub of Scotiabank in Bogota, is looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives that support the bank’s infrastructure, security, networking and cloud platforms. You will work with diverse technology and business partners, applying both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to deliver high‑impact projects.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale projects involving multiple internal teams and external vendors.
- Collaborate with executive sponsors to prioritize requirements, issues and deliverables.
- Plan and oversee design and implementation of infrastructure solutions, coordinating with architecture, security, networking and cloud partners.
- Partner with developers and application owners to define technical requirements and ensure release readiness.
- Provide technical advice, develop roadmaps, and evaluate new technologies within the project scope.
- Lead steering committee meetings with senior leaders and maintain risk and issue logs.
Required profile
- 5–7 years of experience as an IT Project Manager delivering large, complex projects with significant infrastructure components.
- Proven track record managing medium to high‑risk projects and budgets up to $5 million.
- Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
