Technical Project Manager – Core Infrastructure

About the role

The Core Infrastructure team at Kraken is looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead cross‑functional engineering initiatives. You will coordinate planning, execution, and delivery of mission‑critical infrastructure projects while ensuring alignment across Engineering, Product, IT, Compliance and Security.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end execution of complex technical projects across engineering, security, compliance, facilities and data‑center operations.
• Build and maintain project plans, roadmaps, dashboards and release timelines.
• Identify dependencies, manage risks and unblock teams through creative problem‑solving.
• Facilitate meetings, retrospectives and planning sessions for large initiatives.
• Track KPIs and project health via metrics and dashboards.
• Manage intake workflows for feature requests, support tickets and operational work.
• Partner with Engineering Managers, Leads and Product Managers to align requirements and timelines.
• Communicate project status to technical and non‑technical audiences, including executives.
• Collaborate with external vendors to ensure compliance and technical standards.
• Improve internal workflows using Atlassian tools, AI, automation and self‑service solutions.

Required profile

• Strategic systems thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience managing cross‑functional technical projects in a fast‑moving environment.
• Ability to work with both Agile and waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
• Strong communication skills for diverse stakeholder groups.
• Comfortable working fully remote across EU or EST US/LATAM time zones.

Required skills

• Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) for workflow management.
• AI‑enabled automation tools.
• Understanding of infrastructure, orchestration, security, compliance and database concepts.
