Technical Support Specialist

About the role

The Technical Support Specialist ensures the stability, availability, and performance of critical systems that enable Scotiabank’s business operations across LATAM and global teams. You will troubleshoot incidents, resolve service requests, and proactively support system health while adhering to governance, security, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain reliable operation of applications and infrastructure to support business continuity.
• Deliver timely resolution of incidents and service requests, minimizing impact on end‑users.
• Communicate incident status and impacts to technical and business stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and internal policy requirements.
• Monitor system performance, analyze issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Document resolutions, contribute to knowledge bases, and uphold Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in application or system support roles.
• Proven experience in incident management, problem resolution, and service delivery environments.
• Experience working with ticketing and monitoring platforms.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Intermediate level of English.
