US Business Tax Preparer (Remote, Colombia)

About the role

We are seeking a knowledgeable US Business Tax Preparer to join our nearshoring team. The position is fully remote from Colombia and focuses on preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns for US‑based business entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review U.S. business tax returns, including Forms 1120, 1120‑S and, when applicable, Form 1065.
• Collect and verify tax information from clients and review supporting financial statements.
• Assist clients with tax planning, compliance matters, and answer technical tax questions.
• Communicate directly with clients in English to clarify information and provide updates.
• Maintain accurate records and meet all filing deadlines independently.

Required profile

• Strong written and spoken English proficiency.
• Proven experience preparing U.S. business tax returns.
• Valid PTIN and CPA or equivalent accounting credential.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Preparation of Forms 1120 and 1120‑S.
• Experience with Form 1065 (preferred).
• Proficiency in Lacerte tax software.
• Valid PTIN.
• CPA or equivalent credential.
• U.S. bookkeeping knowledge.
