USA Accountant II

About the role

Join Cencora’s finance team as a USA Accountant II, based in Bogotá, Colombia. You will support US‑focused entities by applying US GAAP, preparing journal entries, and delivering accurate financial reporting for the North America region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments for monthly, quarterly and annual closes.
• Perform balance‑sheet and income‑statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Maintain the monthly close checklist and ensure timely completion of all tasks.
• Handle intercompany transactions, fixed‑asset accounting, bank reconciliations, and lease accounting (ASC 842) using LeaseCalcs.
• Support audit schedules, internal and external audit documentation, and the preparation of capital‑expenditure requests.
• Produce monthly financial reporting packages, variance analyses, and ad‑hoc financial analyses for the North America region.
• Collaborate with AP/AR teams, vendors, and cross‑functional finance partners.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience working under the direction of a Regional Controller.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and related accounting principles.
• Ability to work with finance, FP&A and other cross‑functional teams.
