Web Full Stack Engineer (Ruby on Rails, React)

About the role

Coforge is hiring a Web Full Stack Engineer to build and scale high-performance, cloud-native web applications across frontend, backend and infrastructure. The position is remote and based in Colombia, with a focus on turning prototypes, internal automation tools and predictive models into production-ready features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and scale cloud-native web applications across frontend, backend and infrastructure.
• Turn prototypes, internal automation tools and predictive models into scalable, production-ready features with product and data teams.
• Optimize backend worker queues, background jobs and cloud infrastructure for high availability and low latency.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to speed up coding, improve code quality, run code reviews and automate testing.
• Build dashboards showing visibility into automation pipelines and integrate with platforms such as UiPath and Gemini Agents.
• Contribute to a culture of mentorship and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience developing full-stack web applications, including complex API integrations and background job processing.
• Ability to build complete product features from specifications or mockups.
• Compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Remote work setup: private, quiet workspace and high-speed internet.
• Comfortable communicating via webcam, video conferences and phone.

Required skills

• Ruby on Rails, SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL or Snowflake), HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Node.js and React.
• Deploying and monitoring scalable applications in a public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Automation tools, RPA bots, automated agents or Document Intelligence/Intelligent Document Processing solutions.
• AI-assisted development tools integrated into daily workflows.

Preferred: AI agent building with OpenClaw, UiPath or Gemini AI Studio; document intelligence APIs; RabbitMQ, Redis, Kafka or Pub/Sub; Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD; prompt engineering, skills.md, multi-agent orchestration and RAG.
