About the role
Talento is looking for a Weekend Carrier Sales & Operations Specialist to ensure freight coverage and bookings over the weekend while providing operational support.
Key responsibilities
- Source and secure carrier capacity for loads picking up Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
- Negotiate rates and build relationships with carriers.
- Manage load boards (DAT, Truckstop) to secure capacity efficiently.
- Monitor and track active shipments over the weekend and provide real-time updates.
- Maintain communication with carriers, drivers, and internal teams, updating the TMS with accurate shipment information.
Required profile
- Experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, or dispatch.
- Strong ability to book freight and negotiate with carriers.
- Comfortable working weekend schedules in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency with load board platforms such as DAT and Truckstop.
- Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS).
