About the role
UPS Healthcare is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of cold‑chain and managed transportation solutions for pharmaceutical, med‑tech and diagnostics customers across Europe. You will own the sales pipeline, generate new business, and collaborate with global and regional sales teams to expand UPS’s temperature‑controlled logistics footprint.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, qualify and develop leads through proactive outreach and partnership with European and global sales colleagues.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
- Lead business development initiatives focused on Cold Chain Ground and Managed Transportation services.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals in coordination with the tender management team.
- Define sales strategies, action plans and market development road‑maps.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert on temperature‑controlled transport solutions and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field.
- 6–8 years of logistics experience, preferably with multiple roles in pharma logistics.
- Strong understanding of international transportation, temperature‑controlled logistics and GDP regulations.
- Proven track record in sales and new‑business acquisition.
- Fluent in English and Italian (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to support product and service development.
