Accounting & Finance Analyst

About the role

Highwinds is building a finance function and is looking for a detail-driven Accounting & Finance Analyst to report to the CFO. You will keep the company's financial engine running accurately and on time, supporting day-to-day accounting across receivables, payables, reconciliations and month-end close, while helping leadership understand cash flow and working capital.

Key responsibilities

• Support accounts receivable and payable, including client invoicing, partner payouts, payment tracking and collections follow-up, keeping invoices and payments aligned with platform data and contract terms.
• Perform regular bank, payment processor and QuickBooks reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation to support audits, tax filings and internal reviews.
• Assist with month-end close (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations) and help prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare AR/AP aging reports and support cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual work and improve accuracy through better tools, integrations and automation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or financial analysis, ideally in a fast-paced or high-transaction-volume environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience in performance marketing, lead generation or financial services is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
• Solid understanding of accrual accounting, GAAP fundamentals and the month-end close process.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation workbooks).
• Familiarity with ACH, wire and online payment platforms.
• Exposure to SQL, reporting tools or accounting automation is a plus.
