Accounting Lead

About the role

The Accounting Lead will oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient processes while leading a team of accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities including AP, AR, general ledger, and month‑end/year‑end closings.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of accountants, conducting regular 1:1s and training.
• Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to management and clients.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and GAAP.
• Identify and implement process automation, system enhancements, and efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience with strong general accounting and reporting background.
• 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (B2+).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of SAP or Oracle (preferred).
