Analyst, Finance Business Partner

About the role

As an Analyst, Finance Business Partner within Mastercard's Technology (TECH) Business Unit, you will support the Software Capitalization team in managing the end‑to‑end software capitalization lifecycle. This early‑career position offers exposure to finance, accounting, and technology stakeholders while helping ensure compliance with ASC 350‑40 and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Support software capitalization reviews through data collection, analysis, documentation, and compliance testing.
• Assist with capitalization governance, statement‑of‑work (SOW) capitalization, forecast development, and related reporting activities.
• Prepare financial reporting and analysis for management, highlighting actual results, key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and month‑end close activities, including data preparation, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Partner with Technology, Product, Program Management, Finance, and Controllership teams to gather information, resolve questions, and support capitalization decisions.
• Apply established policies and procedures to assess capitalization eligibility, escalating complex items as needed.
• Identify and communicate trends, data issues, and process gaps; support ad‑hoc financial requests and develop potential solutions.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives through automation, reporting enhancements, dashboards, and analytics.
