API Consultant – Integration Consulting Specialist

About the role

The API Consultant delivers consultancy services to customers who integrate Amadeus APIs into their IT ecosystems. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, the consultant supports customers from pre-sales through implementation and optimization, ensuring seamless integration and maximizing business value. The role works autonomously, owns end-to-end delivery within scope and acts as a technical reference within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer business flows and propose integration approaches, acting as a technical advisor to customers and internal teams, including demos
• Provide expert guidance on API integration, architecture, flows and best practices, and help customers identify impacted systems and interfaces
• Translate customer business needs into technical solutions and integration designs
• Ensure successful onboarding, implementation and optimization of integrations, owning delivery for assigned projects with quality, timelines and customer satisfaction
• Organize integration workshops (architecture, data mapping, orchestration) and coordinate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success and other stakeholders
• Manage multiple priorities, track progress, milestones and risks, and report regularly on progress and customer feedback
• Contribute to standardization, reusable assets and documentation, and support process improvements and automation
• Support post-integration adoption, issue identification, root cause analysis and continuous improvement

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• At least 3 years of experience in API integration, technical consultancy or SaaS delivery
• Experience in customer-facing roles and complex, global organizations
• Familiarity with project management and agile methodologies (Agile, SAFe or equivalent)
• Good English communication skills

Required skills

• Understanding of API technologies and integration patterns (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, authentication, application certificate management)
• Knowledge of system integration architectures, data flows and middleware solutions
• Experience with developer ecosystems, API platforms or integration tools
