Applications Support Manager

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Manager, Application Support to lead the strategy, performance, and continuous improvement of enterprise application support services. This role ensures the stability, availability, and performance of business‑critical applications while driving operational excellence and strong alignment with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing application support team, setting KPIs, SLAs and operational metrics.
• Oversee day‑to‑day support operations, ensuring high availability and performance of enterprise applications.
• Manage incident, problem and change processes following ITIL best practices, including root‑cause analysis and escalation.
• Partner with business leaders, product teams and IT functions to prioritize support needs and communicate system performance.
• Identify incident trends, drive automation initiatives and implement tools to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing enterprise applications in a complex environment.
• Professional English proficiency (B2) and strong communication skills.
• Strong leadership, coaching and team‑development capabilities.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of application architectures, integrations and enterprise systems.
• Experience with IT service management frameworks (ITIL).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) – preferred.
• Proficiency in Power Apps.
