Engineering Director

About the role

The Director of Engineering leads Blend360’s engineering department, overseeing the planning, development, and execution of technical strategies. This senior role aligns engineering goals with business objectives and ensures the delivery of high‑quality AI‑driven products and solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering managers, technical leads, and development teams across multiple projects.
• Oversee architectural decisions, technical standards, and software quality practices.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other departments to ensure alignment and timely delivery of features.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate team performance and delivery efficiency.
• Manage engineering budgets, resource planning, and vendor relationships.
• Champion best practices in software development, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
• Drive recruitment, retention, and professional development of top engineering talent.
• Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability of systems and platforms.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale engineering teams and complex projects.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, architecture, and agile methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on technical involvement.
