Data Engineer Manager

About the role

Blend360 is seeking a Data Engineer Manager to lead the design, development, and scaling of data solutions for Journey Analytics. The role combines hands‑on engineering with people leadership to deliver high‑quality, reusable data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers while contributing directly to code development and establishing best practices.
• Define and drive the technical strategy for Journey Analytics data platforms, remaining hands‑on in architecture and implementation.
• Maintain, optimize, and automate code repositories in GitHub, ensuring consistent development standards.
• Refactor legacy codebases to improve maintainability, scalability, and reusability.
• Design modular, reusable data components and automated pipelines in Databricks.
• Ensure data quality, governance, performance, and reliability across all pipelines and datasets.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering stakeholders to align data solutions with business priorities.
• Identify risks and bottlenecks, driving mitigation strategies and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Hands‑on expertise with GitHub version‑control workflows.
• Strong background in building and maintaining data pipelines in Databricks.
• Experience refactoring legacy codebases and designing scalable data models.
• Focus on data quality, performance, and reliability.
