Applications Support Specialist

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to monitor and maintain the efficiency of its global software applications. The role reports to the senior digital capabilities team and may consider candidates from outside the AEC industry. This position is based in Bogota, Colombia.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation, testing and maintenance of software applications to streamline operations.
• Domain, server and database administration.
• Cloud infrastructure administration.
• Create and manage user accounts.
• Provide application support for internal and external users.
• Analyze software performance and usage.
• Perform diagnostic tests before releasing applications.
• Verify the efficiency of network infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with the global digital capabilities team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT or related field with at least 4 years of applications support experience.
• Advanced knowledge of computer applications and hardware.
• Experience working with Web APIs.
• Strong attention to detail and design quality.
• Proactive approach to application support.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Extensive experience in fast‑paced support environments.
• Professional English proficiency (B2) – written and verbal.
