Banking & Expansion Manager / Country Manager

About the role

Wise is looking for a senior leader to drive regulatory presence, product expansion and banking partnerships in Colombia. You will be the face of Wise in the market, overseeing operations, licensing and growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the licensing process for Wise’s entry into Colombia, managing regulatory applications and compliance.
• Identify and negotiate partnerships with banks, payment processors and card issuers, handling contracts and due‑diligence.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements into product features.
• Define market opportunities, shape product direction and ensure Wise’s offering meets local regulations.

Required profile

• Fluent in Spanish and English, resident in Colombia and able to act as local representative.
• Deep understanding of financial, payments and FX regulation in Colombia and experience with licensing frameworks.
• Proven ability to negotiate commercial agreements and manage relationships with regulators and financial institutions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, hands‑on approach and ability to work independently in a fast‑moving environment.
