Blockchain Architect

About the role

Join Kushki as a Blockchain Architect to lead the design and evolution of the Treasury 2.0 & Stablecoins platform. You will shape the wallet, custody, ledger and integration layers that connect blockchain solutions with traditional payment infrastructures across Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end wallet, custody and ledger architecture for Treasury 2.0 & Stablecoins.
• Select appropriate blockchain networks (L1/L2, permissioned or public) and token standards.
• Lead architectural decisions, ADRs, technical reviews and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Define security, key‑management and compliance policies, integrating KYT and AML tools.
• Coordinate integrations with custodians, stablecoin issuers, payment rails and ecosystem partners.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software architecture or distributed systems experience, with at least 4 years designing production blockchain solutions.
• Background in fintech, crypto, payments or financial institutions; experience with acquiring or treasury is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead architecture in high‑availability cloud environments (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Advanced spoken and written English; all strategic partner meetings are in English.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, consensus mechanisms, L1/L2 trade‑offs and permissioned/public networks (EVM, Solana, XRPL, etc.).
• Smart‑contract development (Solidity/EVM; Move or DAML a plus) and token standards (ERC‑20, SPL, etc.).
• Institutional custody and wallet infrastructure (MPC, HSM, Fireblocks, DFNS, BitGo).
• Stablecoin issuance and management (USDC, USDT, RLUSD) and on‑chain yield mechanisms.
• KYT and blockchain AML tools (Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic).
• Ledger design, event‑driven architectures, APIs, microservices, idempotency and webhook patterns.
• Traditional payment rails knowledge (Visa, Mastercard, SPEI, PSE, PIX, ACH) and cross‑border settlement concepts.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed engineering practices.
