Certified Nursing Assistant – Day Shift (7am-3pm)

About the role

This position provides routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents during the 7 am‑3 pm shift. The CNA ensures residents’ comfort, safety, and adherence to their care plans while supporting the nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify residents using wristbands or photo cards before any interaction.
• Report changes in resident condition promptly to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
• Document all care activities on flow sheets, notes, and charts using authorized abbreviations.
• Maintain resident rooms ready for occupancy, greet and escort residents, and introduce them to roommates and staff.
• Assist with personal belongings, transfers, and transportation to new rooms or vehicles.
• Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration), weight, and intake/output as instructed.
• Answer resident calls quickly and check frequently on residents who cannot call for help.
• Observe and report accidents, incidents, complaints, and grievances.
• Follow infection‑control policies and maintain a clean, calm environment.

Required profile

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with training in basic nursing care procedures.
• Ability to follow facility policies, protect resident health information, and report violations.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and resident identification.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with nursing staff and participate in shift meetings.
