Collections Analyst – Senior Collection Specialist

About the role

SGS is seeking a Senior Collections Analyst to join its Global Business Services (GBS) hub in Bogotá. You will be a key member of the Bill to Cash team, responsible for managing the collection of outstanding customer payments and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of collection strategies, handling calls and correspondence in a fast‑paced environment.
• Maintain accurate, real‑time customer payment data and perform daily account reconciliations.
• Prepare and distribute customer statements, provide feedback on bad debts and write‑offs, and escalate high‑priority disputes.
• Report on major overdue invoices and aged debt, and act as a Subject Matter Expert in collections.
• Identify process improvements, propose innovative solutions, and lead collection training programs.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related field (or high school diploma with ≥3 years relevant experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in collections or related finance roles.
• Proficiency in Business English (B2 level) and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Required skills

• Intermediate Excel and general MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite or similar ERP systems.
