Cost Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

The Cost Manager will deliver cost planning, estimating, procurement support and cost control for corporate fit‑out, workplace and building construction projects. The role requires on‑site travel outside Bogotá and interaction with local and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare estimates, budgets, cost plans and present them to stakeholders.
• Manage tendering and procurement processes, including pre‑qualification, analysis, commercial evaluation and contract documentation.
• Monitor project budgets, expenditures, commitments and forecasted costs throughout the lifecycle.
• Produce cash‑flow forecasts, cost reports and budget tracking tools using advanced Excel models.
• Review subcontractor proposals, manage contracts, variations and change requests.
• Support value‑engineering initiatives and negotiate final accounts with contractors and suppliers.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of professional experience in construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (cost modelling, financial reporting, data analysis).
• Cost estimating, cost planning, budgeting and cost control.
• Experience with MEP, hydraulic and low‑voltage systems estimation.
• Procurement, tendering, contractor selection and contract administration.
