Data Quality Assurance Engineer (3‑month contract)

About the role

The Data Quality Assurance Engineer ensures the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data across complex environments. This temporary, 3‑month contract role focuses on validating high‑volume datasets, testing ETL processes, and using SQL to detect inconsistencies. You will collaborate with technical teams to improve data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data quality validations in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
• Write medium to complex SQL queries to verify expected results.
• Test and validate ETL processes and data transformations throughout the data lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain regression automation for GUI applications, backend services, and ETL pipelines.
• Identify, document, track, and communicate defects discovered during testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of professional experience in Big Data and data‑quality testing.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL testing, data profiling, and high‑volume data validation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a quality‑assurance mindset.
