Factory IT/OT Specialist

About the role

The IT/OT Specialist provides onsite computer support for factory or Hitachi Energy site assets and operational support for office IT and shop-floor IT/OT assets that are not covered by the OSS technicians. The role also covers IT/OT cybersecurity first responder tasks and operational cybersecurity work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for IT equipment, software, meeting rooms and common areas as part of desk-side support.
• Perform onsite IT support for factory or site-owned and managed assets.
• Operate IT/OT cybersecurity tasks and act as first responder for cybersecurity incidents: investigate scope, work with the cybersecurity team to contain and remediate them, and follow the factory incident response team's guidance.
• Identify critical assets in the factory that need monitoring and protection.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
• Support office and shop-floor assets such as kiosks, printers, conference rooms and Microsoft Teams rooms, vendor-managed machines, CCTV and security systems, access badge systems, and MES scanners.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in IT support, including end-user support, infrastructure and operational IT services.
• Advanced proficiency in the local language and English.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration and stakeholder management skills; proactive, customer-oriented and able to work independently.
• Availability to work 100% on site.

Required skills

• Experience with the ServiceNow IT Enterprise Platform is desirable.
• ITIL 4 certification is a strong plus; Lean Six Sigma (L6S) certification is a plus.
