Finance Business Partner Manager – Marketing

About the role

We are seeking a data‑driven Finance Business Partner to serve as the financial navigator for our Marketing department. This strategic partnership role embeds within the marketing team to monitor spend, evaluate campaigns and ensure financial discipline aligned with corporate goals.

Key responsibilities

• Establish regular communication routines with key marketing stakeholders and attend planning meetings to understand campaign objectives.
• Review campaign proposals and business cases, acting as a “critical friend” to challenge assumptions, vet ROI projections and flag risks.
• Deeply understand the end‑to‑end marketing workflow to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Track marketing expenditure at a granular level (by campaign, channel, vendor and category) and ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Lead the monthly rolling forecast for the marketing department, updating spend projections based on actual performance.
• Perform monthly variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. forecast) and provide clear explanations for any discrepancies.
• Synthesize complex financial data into concise executive summaries highlighting key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Analytical and detail‑oriented with a strong ability to ask tough questions.
• Comfortable building relationships with marketers while maintaining independence to challenge proposals.
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting within a fast‑paced environment.
