Finance Operations Associate – Marketing Finance

About the role

Valenta is looking for a Finance Operations Associate to support the financial operations of its global Marketing function. This remote position based in Colombia works on North American business hours and focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day financial operations for a global Marketing function, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals and reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and validate accounting reports against approved budgets.
• Monitor Marketing expenditures, perform budget‑versus‑actual analysis and ensure proper expense allocation to internal billing codes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense and Marketing stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Finance Operations, Accounting or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, accrual accounting, financial reconciliations and month‑end close.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
